Virat Kohli took to Instagram to slam the Times of India for publishing 'fake news' about his plans to build a cricket pitch inside his farmhouse in Alibaug
The Congress supporters targeted Gautam Gambhir and alleged that the player had dragged politics into the game after joining the Bharatiya Janata Party.
As tensions escalated, Rajat Bhatia, who also hails from Delhi like Kohli and Gambhir, stepped in to pull the two apart. Later, the umpires took Gambhir away as Kohli headed to the pavilion.
After the match ended, the two shook hands and things looked fine. LSG opener Kyle Mayers walked up to Kohli and started speaking something when Gambhir came and took Mayers away.
There seems no end to the ongoing spat between Kohli and SRK supporters, with each side using personal, insulting, churlish, and mean remarks to mock their opponents and assert the supremacy of their respective idols.
