The six suspended officials were identified as Dhruv Aggarwal, Anuj Deshwal and Prabhat Pandey, Anand Kumar Dubey, Rajendra Kumar Yadav and Mohammad Shahid.
Muslim religious leaders backed the Chief Minister's appeal, leading to Eid prayers held exclusively at designated Eidgahs and other traditional locations. In areas where mosques and Eidgahs had limited space, prayers were conducted in different shifts.
The BJP's decision of heavily relying on the charisma of national leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath did not resonate as effectively this time. The opposition's focused and localised campaign strategy, highlighting specific regional issues and addressing the concerns of various communities, proved to be more effective in garnering votes.
"Those who are praising Pakistan, I want to tell them that PM Modi has lifted more people out of poverty than the entire population of Pakistan. If they lived in India they would not have died of hunger and would have received free ration," he said.
When an audience member asked the Uttar Pradesh CM for his reaction to some people living in India and still dreaming of Ghazwa-e-Hind, the UP CM emphasised that the dream of Ghazwa-e-Hind will remain a dream only.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also responded to Rahul Gandhi's allegation that the President was not invited to the Ram Mandir Pran Pratistha because she is a tribal. CM Yogi said that it is because of the initiative of Prime Minister Modi that a woman from a tribal community is sitting on the highest chair of the country.
