Yogi Adityanath warned rioters in Uttar Pradesh against engaging in violence and taking law into their own hands in the name of protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act.
Three Hindu temples have allegedly been attacked by the violent Muslim mob. The Muslim mob had jammed roads and halted traffic in Charkhabalan and several other areas too.
Even though PM Modi did not commit anything during the meeting, the trustees said they were hopeful that Prime Minister Modi and other senior ministers such as Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh and UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath would grace the occasion.
The CM explained further that when a violent rioter comes to the road prepared to kill innocents and is challenged by a policeman, either the policeman or the rioter has to die.
